PARL provides every participant a studio space in one of Ljubljana's performance venues. The course of work at PARL is focused on development of creative processes, performative strategies and presentation formats with the ambition of expanding the field of contemporary performance practice and upgrading its production models. Vito Weis. PARL is very useful if you are in the middle of the process and you are not afraid of being fragile or vulnerable. To have different insights of the people from various fields of performance art is very valuable. The lecture took place on 1 SEPT 2020 within the framework of the PARL seminar on a topic “Troubles with contemporaneity”.. PIA BREZAVŠČEK is the co-editor of the journal Maska and the online journal Neodvisni, a dance, performance and theatre critic, a dramaturg and co-author of several theatre pieces (most recently the performance Ideal), and the president of the Slovenian Contemporary. Your working day will be focused on the development of the project that you have proposed in your application. The basic method of work at PARL is research and develop, evolve through doing, reflect feedback and decide for the next step. We invite performance art makers and groups with need and ambition to develop their creative process, research performative formats, and reflect on their work from diverse artistic perspectives.
